Welcome

Established in 1997, the Tribal Libraries Program (TLP) of the New Mexico State Library offers dedicated library development services tailored to the unique needs of tribal communities across the state. With a mission centered on enhancing information access and fostering the growth of tribal libraries, the program serves as a vital resource for empowering Indigenous knowledge and literacy. The main administrative office is based in Santa Fe, with regional staff located in Crownpoint to support the Navajo communities of northwestern New Mexico.
