Teen Tech Week to Hit NM Libraries

Makerstate Initiative
The Makerstate InitiativeTTW2014 – a partnership between the State Library and the Parachute Factory – is back and could be coming to a library near you! Makerspaces will be popping up in Lea County and other select libraries across New Mexico to celebrate Teen Tech Week.

Teen Tech Week, March 8-14, 2015, is a celebration of the great digital resources available at libraries to help teens succeed in school and prepare for college and 21st century careers.

Monday, March 9
Hobbs Public Library – 5 p.m. // Makey Makey & Little Bits

Tuesday, March 10
Woolworth Community Library –  3 p.m. // Pop Up Makerspace: Makey Makey, Little Bits, 3D Printing and Scanning, and Electronic Origami

Socorro Public Library – 3:30 p.m. // Pop Up Makerspace

Wednesday, March 11
Loma Colorado Public Library (Rio Rancho) – 2 p.m. // Destruct and Create

Eunice Public Library – 3 p.m. // Pop Up Makerspace: Makey Makey, Little Bits, 3D Printing and Scanning, and Electronic Origami

Socorro Public Library – 3:30 p.m. // Pop Up Makerspace

Thursday, March 12
