Small Business Resource Fair at Loma Colorado Main Library

Submitted by Joseph McKenzie and Jenna Wells; Librarians at Loma Colorado Main Library

As part of its ongoing, small business programming initiative, Rio Rancho’s Loma Colorado Main Library hosted its first Small Business Resource Fair on Saturday, September 28 featuring some of the most prominent non-profit small business organizations in the region, including WESST, SCORE, CNM, Goodwill, and many others. We even had the Rio Rancho City Clerk on hand to help answers questions about business licenses in Rio Rancho. Emerging entrepreneurs, home business startups, and small business owners were some of the many fairgoers who enjoyed the event. There was a lot of positive feedback from community participators. The most prevalent being having all the resources in one place so they could get all their information at once. We are now looking at making this an annual event.
