The NMSL Development Bureau wants YOU to join our passionate staff of library consultants!

We are seeking a State Data & Continuing Education Coordinator to add to our team – so if you State_Library04_3-24-14_2are an enthusiastic expert on facts, numbers, and professional development, this position is for you.

The State Data & Continuing Education Coordinator will manage New Mexico libraries’ participation in the Public Libraries in the United States Survey (a.k.a. Annual Report!) as well as seek and manage continuing education opportunities for library staff, board members and volunteers in public libraries statewide.

The person who takes advantage of this exciting opportunity will…

  • Be a statistician: Compile and present annual report data to help improve public services;
  • Be a trainer: Identify the training interests and needs of library professionals statewide, and organize learning opportunities;
  • Be a traveler: The State Data & Continuing Education Coordinator will be based at the New Mexico State Library in beautiful, historic Santa Fe and will travel around this scenic state to work with libraries; and
  • Be a leader! Consult, advise, and coach public library staff to implement effective library services that serve their unique communities.
