New Mexico State Library Says Goodbye to Longtime Employee

On December 21, 2018, the New Mexico State Library bid a fond farewell to longtime employee, Monica Villaire-Garcia. Monica spent 18 years at the State Library, first in the Technical Services Bureau and then as the Administrative Services Coordinator for State Government Publications.

Prior to her time at the State Library, Monica spent 9 years working at the Santa Fe Community College Library.

In her retirement, Monica will continue to do what she loves- volunteer at St. Michael’s High School, work part-time at Stephen’s Consignment and spend time with her family.

Monica will be missed at the State Library, but we all wish her luck and joy in retirement!
