New Mexico History Reading Guide

Welcome to the New Mexico History in 10 Minutes Reading Guide!

During the Covid pandemic, New Mexico State Historian Rob Martinez created YouTube video series called New Mexico History in 10 Minutes. So many patrons of the New Mexico State Library have commented about how interesting and helpful these videos are and have asked for book recommendations on the subjects covered. So we have created a reading guide based on these videos.

All of these items are located at the New Mexico State Library in Santa Fe. Most of them are available for check out and many are available via interlibary loan. If you can’t come to Santa Fe, visit your local public library to request a copy. Additionally, some of these books are available as e-books and e-audiobooks in our collection NM Reads. This collection of e-books and e-audio books is available to anyone in the state, no library card is needed.

This is not a comprehensive list of resources written about the subject, for more titles explore out our library catalog.

Happy Researching!
