Library Genealogy Collections and Services in New Mexico: A Survey

Lopez Home, Trampas, New Mexico 1943

The New Mexico State Library would like to know about your institution’s genealogy collection and services!

Last week we posted a link to a new survey about your genealogy collections, services, and patron and staff needs. If you haven’t filled out our survey, please do, it will just take a few minutes. You can access the survey HERE via Google Forms and no Google login is required. We will use the information to better direct genealogy information requests that come into the NMSL, and to guide the State Library as we develop training and consider genealogy collection development with libraries across the state.

As many of you know, the demand for access to genealogy resources and expertise continues to rise. Across New Mexico, library genealogy collections and staff-knowledge of genealogy services varies widely. We all need to better understand New Mexico’s diverse genealogy collections and to identify ways that we can assist each other to better serve New Mexico’s genealogy patrons.

Thank you and happy researching!
