Learn to Garden Program at the ABQ Cherry Hills Library

I attended the Learn to Garden program held at the Cherry Hills Library on Friday May 10, 2024. Angela and Adrien with The City of Albuquerque, Open Space Division presented to a small group about tips and tricks to get started with gardening, whether it’s in a yard or on a balcony. At the end of the presentation, participants were able to get hands on and transplant a few plants into containers to take home. Offerings were a sunflower, coreopsis, and blanket flower, all of which thrive in New Mexico.

It was an engaging program that is great for all ages. I can see this program being used for the Summer Reading Program theme this year, Adventure Begins at your Library. An adventure in gardening and getting outdoors, as well as helping our pollinators!
