This position will directly oversee the Rural Services Program (including Bookmobiles, Books by Mail, and Delivery) the Technical Services Bureau, and the Digital Equity Program. Importantly, it serves as Acting State Librarian in the absence of the State Librarian, so must be prepared to be backup for all roles and responsibilities of the State Librarian. This includes but is not limited to: all finance processes, grant management, building issues, running various staff and committee meetings, overseeing of all library departments (in addition to the above, Library Development, Administration and HR, Library for the Blind and Print Disabled, and Public Services), and representing the State Library Division in Department of Cultural Affairs activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of success managing in a dynamic library setting, a desire and ability to learn new skills, policies, and processes, and an adaptability to working in the State environment.

Salary: $39.11 – $62.58 Hourly; $81,349 – $130,159 Annually
