The Edgewood Community Library has added a DEAR Time- Drop Everything And Read (story)Time to their list of programs. The Assistant Librarian, Barbara Hambek, has started reading a chapter from a classic book out loud to elementary children, grades K-6, each week. They started with Tom Sayer by Mark Twain.
After each chapter is read, they partake in a craft that has something to do with the chapter. After chapter 2 they did cheery tree salt paintings. For chapter 3 they’ll be coloring pictures from the story found on Pinterest.
