The New Mexico State Library (NMSL) seeks an innovative and dynamic administrative librarian (Administrative Operations Manager – II) who is looking for a leadership role in technical services at this important cultural and informational institution. Includes cataloging and processing of print, non-print and electronic materials according to national and local standards to ensure library users can readily access them. This Bureau Chief position is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining the integrated library management systems (Polaris system) for the SALSA consortium of libraries, including NMSL, and for the Rural Services programs (KOHA system). Supervises 5 FTE.
Requires a Master’s Degree from an ALA-accredited program, and at least seven years post-degree experience providing library services, of which at least five years must be in technical services, and three years in supervisory leadership.
