Summer reading is underway within the Library for the Blind and Print Disabled at the New Mexico State Library. The Summer Reading Program sponsored by the National Library Service offers online author talks, reading lists, virtual tours and escape rooms, and follows the same theme as the Collaborative Summer Library Program found at local public libraries, Adventure Begins At Your Library.
The program is open to ages 3-21 who are current or eligible patrons of The Library for the Blind and Print Disabled. In order to qualify for services of LBPD, one must be blind, have low vision, be print disabled and or handicapped permanently or temporarily.
There is still time to participate. We have prizes throughout the summer and a grand prize drawing upon completion of the reading log. All entries are due by August 12, 2024. See below for details on upcoming programming and activities available on-demand.
