The NMLF announces a summer 2022 exhibition, “SEE ALSO: A Celebration of Librarians and Art” featuring creative Librarians (& friends!) in the Land of Enchantment. To raise funds for library grants, the exhibition will highlight art by library professionals, employees, retirees, library students, and friends of librarians from across our state. Art will be auctioned online and bidders will be able to collect their prize at the gala reception July 28, 2022, or prizes may be mailed to winners.

The exhibition will be open to the public from July 7 – 28, 2022 at the UNM – Valencia Fine Arts Gallery in Tomé, New Mexico. The online auction will run until 6:00 pm on July 28, 2022, art may be collected at the reception.
A Gala Reception will be held on July 28, 2022 from 4:30 – 6:00 pm at the UNM – Valencia Fine Arts Gallery in Tomé, New Mexico. Gallery address is 280 La Entrada Road, Los Lunas NM 87031.

Qualifying Artists
Any works of art or fine craft created by Librarians, library employees, retired librarians, library students, and friends of Librarians. Both professional artists and casual creatives are all encouraged to enter. We are celebrating the creativity and multiplicity of who Librarians are, beyond the profession – Whatever your creative outlet, jump in and represent for the good cause! We hope for entries from every peak & valley across New Mexico, to raise money for libraries and librarianship.
Mediums of Art
Art & craft of all mediums and genres are welcome. Entries may include and are not limited to: Ceramic, Cardboard, Sculpture, Sound, Video, Film, Glass, Fibers, Digital, Painting, Drawing, Photography, Writing, Collage, Mixed-Media, etc.
Submission Requirements
Artists are invited to submit 1 – 2 works of art or fine craft for consideration to the show. There are no fees to participate. *All items will be entered into an online auction, open to public bidding, from July 8 – July 28. 100% of the proceeds will become grants for library programming, collections, and professional development.
Submission Forms – All work must be postmarked or delivered by June 30, 2022
