Funding Information Network

As a member of Candid’s nationwide network of foundation information agencies, the New Mexico State Libraryprovides visitors with free public access to Candid’s applications and resources.  At our location, you can access the Foundation Directory Online, and Grants to Individuals databases as well as other resources to assist and strengthen your grant research.

Foundation Directory Online (FDO), Candid's premier fundraising tool, gives grant-seekers unprecedented access to the largest amount of philanthropic data that currently exists. By combining exhaustive data with intuitive search functionality and informative data visualizations, FDO makes fundraising quick and efficient.

Grants to Individuals provides detailed information on more than 10,000 foundations that give grants or scholarships to individuals.

Candid Learning provides access to all of Candid’s live and on-demand trainings, webinars, and other resources designed to improve your fundraising, grant writing, and transparency.

You may need to spend considerable time at the State Library with the Candid Funding Information Network resources researching which foundations might be interested in funding your organization or project. The State Library reference staff can help you get started with your research.  State Library staff can also provide answers to simple funding questions received by phone or e-mail. Your local library may also have the basic tools to use in seeking grants or you can borrow grant seeking materials through Interlibrary Loan from other libraries. In most cases the newest, and therefore most useful, materials will be available for use in libraries only.
