Purpose of the Grant Program
The TLP has offered direct grants to eligible Tribal libraries in New Mexico for the past several years. Tribal libraries are able to utilize TLP funds to meet the unique needs of each community. Funds from these grants are designated for collection development, programming, furniture, computers and computer software and speakers' series. In 2009, the New Mexico State Library expanded use of the funds to include Professional Development for Directors and Staff and to cover associated costs.
Eligibility
New Mexico Tribal libraries that meet all requirements of State Rule 4.5.2 and have submitted an online annual report through Bibliostat Collect, are eligible to apply for Direct Grants.
